Ninth Annual Power 30 Conference Set for January 21-23, 2019 in Seattle

After the tremendous success of CBUSA’s eighth annual Power 30 conference in Scottsdale, Arizona, this past February, top CBUSA Member Builders from around the country are gearing up for the ninth installment in January as 2018 slowly draws to a close. Power 30 2019, will be hosted in the beautiful Emerald City of Seattle, January 21 – 23 at The Westin Seattle hotel. The conference will bring this elite group who represent “the best of the best” in the independent home building sector from all 28 markets together for three days of strategic discussions that will help attendees enhance their business operations and networking opportunities that will create mutually beneficial connections.

Joining the member builders will be key CBUSA national contract manufacturing partners and special industry guest speakers who will host insightful presentations and provide valuable support throughout the conference. This year, manufacturer attendees included LP Building Products, Dacor Kitchen Appliances, Electrolux, Donald A. Gardner Architects, CaesarstoneMaxim Lighting, Kohler, James Hardie, Tyvek, Lennox, Overhead Door, Sterling, Genie, Wayne Dalton, Metrie, Generac, Rinnai, and Sater Design Collection and next year’s roster is sure to be as impressive.

Attendees at this year’s event in the desert Southwest were also treated to a thoughtful keynote address by Hanley Wood Media Vice President and Editorial Director John McManus entitled “The Road Ahead”, and presentations including “10 Irrefutable Rules of Retailing” by Jane Meagher, President of Success Strategies, and Entekra CEO and Chairman Gerry McCaughey’s discussion on how current labor shortages are affecting the industry, which set a high bar for Power 30 2019. In addition, CBUSA’s Southeast Region President Phil Randolph’s presentation “Cost To Serve” energized the CBUSA members to identify opportunities to become better customers and partners with our suppliers in order to procure “next level” savings and superior service. And McManus also presented and moderated questions prepared by our manufacturer partners to a group of five member builders at our first-ever Member Builders Panel — which will return in 2019 — gave manufacturers the unique opportunity to ask tough questions anonymously and receive honest answers in return.

Power 30 2019 attendees can also look forward to some fantastic evening events away from The Westin, including dinner at the famous Palisade Restaurant overlooking Elliott Bay Marina with sweeping views of the downtown Seattle city skyline and Mt. Rainier, and an evening home tour and reception hosted by CBUSA Member Builder JayMarc Homes.
