When we founded CBUSA in 2004, our goal was to build a nationwide network of premier independent home builders from around the country — builders who exemplify quality and excellence in the way they do business, the homes they build, and the way they treat their clients. In the 14 years since, many of our members have been honored with awards that testify to their dedication to quality, honesty and integrity. We’d like to congratulate three of our members who were recently presented with prestigious awards that deserve our recognition.
On October 23rd, the Fairfax County Tree Commission of Fairfax, Virginia, presented our member Creekstone Communities with their Friends of Trees Award — the first time the award has ever been bestowed on a developer.
“Creekstone Communities has been building custom homes in Fairfax County for more than 25 years. During that time, it has constructed more than 100 homes in more than a dozen locations, all within Great Falls. The developments have ranged in size from individual single-family homes to larger projects of up to 30 houses,” Tree Commission leaders said in a media statement.
Commission leaders quoted a portion of the company’s mission statement during the presentation, which asserts the builder’s commitment to the environment: “We design your home to the land, ensuring pleasing aesthetics in each individual community. We selectively clear our home sites, taking great care to save as many of the trees and other natural characteristics that add value and beauty to each site.”
“Creekstone Communities is honored to be the first developer ever to win this environmental award,” said President Chuck Langpaul Jr. “It has always been part of our mission to develop in a manner sensitive to the environment in order to preserve the natural beauty of our area. We would like to thank Tree Commission Chairman Robert Vickers and the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors for recognizing our continued efforts in this regard.”
“CBUSA is honored to work with the best builders in all of our markets nationwide,” commented Ryan Lipchek, Vice President of Sales for CBUSA. “Creekstone Communities is one of the founding building companies in our Northern Virginia region and a longtime leader in their local market. This is prestigious award highlights their commitment to the environment throughout all of their projects. Congratulations to Chuck Langpaul Jr., Vice President Tony Smith and the whole team at Creekstone!”
Meanwhile, down south in Atlanta, CBUSA member Vincent Longo Custom Builders recently earned a Gold OBIE in the Single-Family Builder category from the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council — the premiere annual awards given in the Atlanta new home construction industry. Their Gold OBIE recognizes them for a custom home they built in downtown Smyrna, one of the hottest neighborhoods in Metro Atlanta, which features a beautiful downtown Market Village with shops, restaurants and other amenities. The small-footprint home, which was designed specifically for owners who would enjoy the walkability Smyrna has to offer, has 3,200 square feet of living space, with an additional 1,600 square feet in the basement suitable for future expansion and boasts an array of luxurious features, including a dining room with gorgeous reclaimed wood beams and custom iron and wood barn door, a study with a leather wallpapered wall, and an outdoor living area complete with custom metal features and an AV system.
“Vince Longo has been a valuable member of the Atlanta CBUSA group for some time now,” said Phil Randolph, CBUSA’s Southeast Region President. “He is an excellent builder and an even better person to know. It has been my pleasure to work with Vince over the past year and congratulate him on another high quality project.”
Not to be outdone, Midwest member builder ProBuilt Homes of Mentor, Ohio, took home two recent honors! First, they were awarded the second spot on 2018 Lake-Geauga Fast Track 50 list of Established Companies, which recognizes companies in the local region with exceptional sales and employment growth over the past year. Then, their customers voted them the best home builder in Lake County, Ohio, earning them the Cleveland News-Harold’s “Best of the Best” for the seventh time.
“It is always an honor to be recognized by the community and our customers for our hard work and dedication to our ‘Building Better’,” said George Davis, founder and president of ProBuilt Homes.
“George Davis is a fantastic builder who gives a lot of his time to make the building industry as good as it can be in Northeast Ohio,” Lipchek remarked. “ It is a great honor to have George as a longtime member and leader within the CBUSA program. Congratulations and well deserved my friend!”
Congratulations to all of our member builders across the country who were recognized for their excellence this year. Here’s looking forward to a fantastic 2019!
