Bill Smithers
Founder of CBUSA
Meet the moderator
Bill is a construction industry veteran with decades of experience in both the production and custom building sectors. He’s a former Chairman of the NVBIA Custom Builders Council and former member of the NAHB Builder 20 Club. He founded CBUSA in 2004 with the belief that the efficiencies and purchasing power of a large production building operation could be harnessed by smaller companies working together. His vision of building the most powerful national network of privately-owned builders is now a reality. Bill’s success in putting custom and independent builders at the forefront of their industry was recognized at a national level in 2006, when he was chosen by “Builder Magazine” as one of “The 50 Most Influential People in Home Building.”
