Greetings and salutations! Welcome to another installment in CBUSA’s “Meet & Greet” series. This month, we’d like to introduce you to Meagan Bosnjak, our new National Contracts Manager. Meagan joined us last fall, bringing over 15 years of industry experience with her, and we couldn’t be happier to have her on the team. Thankfully, the feeling is mutual.
“After leaving a company after 15 years, everyone at CBUSA has made me feel so welcomed,” Meagan reamarked. “I appreciate that, though we are scattered across the USA, everyone is available whenever you need them. The team knows how to work hard, but also laugh hard. Everyone can laugh at themselves, and the spirit of teamwork is evident in how everyone conducts business. I am excited to enter this next phase of my career at CBUSA.”
Born in New Baden, Illinois, Meagan grew up the daughter of two parents who both served in the U.S. Air Force — 19 years for her mother and 26 years for her father, respectively. Her parents’ positions took the family, to Las Vegas, Japan and Fayetteville, North Carolina during her childhood. After high school, Meagan earned an AA degree from Durham Technical Community College in Durham, North Carolina and a BA in Personal and Interpersonal Communication from North Carolina State University. Now, she and her husband Marijo, who immigrated from Sweden 11 years ago and became a U.S. Citizen in 2012, and their two sons, Maxx, 7, and Milo, 4, call Garner, North Carolina home.
“Garner gives us the feeling of small-town America but is so close to Raleigh that we get the benefits of city life,” Meagan explained. “The area has so much to offer, including three amazing colleges. And it’s centrally located, so on weekends we can easily head to the mountains or the beach — both boys are taking swimming lessons and love swimming at their Nana’s house — or spend the day at a kid’s museum or a local dog park. We have a Bernese Mountain Dog, Buster, who has brought so much joy to the family. The boys love playing fetch with him.”
Meagan feels the combination of education she received while earning her communications degree and experience she gained at her prior employer, BMC, make her uniquely qualified for her new position at CBUSA.
“My biggest strength is working with large, diverse groups to drive and accomplish common goals,” Meagan explained. “Being a part of the launch of the BuildwithBMC.com ecommerce website was a great accomplishment. Our small team worked hard together to build something that was only a dream, and we brought it to life. It was an amazing feeling seeing that come to reality. Process improvement and efficiency on all projects is a personal challenge and something I enjoy striving to reach. I think this will help me be successful in my new role as National Contracts Manager.”
In addition to spending time with her family, when she’s away from the office, Meagan enjoys reading (“I love holding a book and still haven’t switched to a Kindle,” she joked), volunteering at Maxx’s school and spending time with friends on the weekends.
“My perfect days starts with me being able to sleep until 7am, spending the day with family and friends and enjoying their company – and of course a good meal together,” Meagan said.
